We know that the decision to come to a nursing facility for rehab OR a long term stay can be a taxing time on ones emotions.  That's why we want you to take a moment to read up on the management staff at Wesley Woods Rehabilitation and Care Center.  Having a face to put to a name is always a great place to start!

Maranda May was born in Shreveport, LA and grew up in a small town in East Texas before moving to Hewitt in 1999. She always had a passion for serving the elderly members of her church from the time she was a young teen. She frequently visited the nursing homes in her area to talk to residents or play the piano for them.

She graduated from LeTourneau University in 1999 and continued to work in higher education and then the financial industry before learning of the opportunities to work in long term care. In 2005, she returned to McLennan Community College to complete the required coursework for becoming a licensed nursing facility administrator.  She served as Administrator in the Waco area for 10 years where she was recognized by Baylor University as Field Administrator of the Year in 2015. She completed the training from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners in December 2015. In 2017, she and her team were recognized by HHSC with a deficiency free survey while she served as Administrator at a community in Corpus Christi.

Maranda serves as a preceptor for other individuals who desire to become a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Community Cancer Coalition and has volunteered with the Family Abuse Center. Maranda is currently a member of Women of Waco and looking to connect with personal and professional friends in the Waco community. She is excited to take Wesley Woods to a new level!
